The X Caddis is a flush-film caddis pattern designed to imitate an adult caddis in the process of emerging — trapped in the surface film with its shuck still attached, exactly the vulnerable stage that selective trout target during a hatch. Our Hot Spot variation adds an orange body that serves as both a precise caddis imitation and a bold attractor trigger, making it effective during caddis hatches and as a searching pattern when fish are looking for something with a little extra color. The trailing shuck and low-riding profile give it the precise, natural presentation that flat-water and technical fish demand.
