It’s an option for searching lakes, ponds, and river edges when you want to cover water with an actively retrieved fly.

Pattern Details

• Style: Woolly Bugger streamer with a head-mounted propeller
• Color: Olive with a metallic propeller and bead
• Size: 6
• Best water: Lakes, ponds, weed edges, river margins, and softer current seams
• Techniques: Short-strip retrieves, slow hand-twist retrieves, and controlled swings

Use a countdown to explore different depths, then retrieve with short strips and pauses. Along weed edges or drop-offs, vary your speed and pause length to find a presentation fish respond to. In moving water, swing it through softer seams or strip it along the bank, adjusting your line setup to keep the fly at the desired depth.

Keep the olive Woolly Bugger Propeller ready when you want a searching streamer with a distinctive metallic accent.
