Rainbow Warrior

Rainbow Warrior

The Rainbow Warrior nymph gives you an attractor option for exploring subsurface trout feeding lanes without committing to one exact insect imitation. Available in sizes 10 and 12, it is a useful pattern to rotate into your nymph rig when you want to change the presentation. Drift it through runs, riffle tails, and current seams, adjusting your rig's depth and weight to carry the fly naturally through the water rather than dragging it across the current.

Pattern Details

• Style: Attractor nymph
• Best Water: Trout rivers and streams, especially runs, riffle tails, pool entrances, and current seams
• Techniques: Indicator or tight-line dead drifts, fished alone or as part of a two-fly nymph rig; adjust rig depth and weight to suit the current
• Sizes: 10 and 12

Keep the Rainbow Warrior in your nymph box for an alternative attractor presentation when you are working out what trout will take below the surface.
