Beadhead Matuka – Olive
Originating in New Zealand, the Matuka is one of the most distinctive and effective streamer designs in fly fishing. Unlike traditional streamer patterns where the wing can foul around the hook, the Matuka’s feather wing is bound directly to the hook shank — creating a tight, undulating profile that pulses with lifelike action on every strip and swing. Our Olive Beadhead Matuka adds a tungsten bead to get the fly down fast in rivers and stillwaters, while the olive feather wing delivers a natural, earthy profile that closely imitates sculpin, small baitfish, and other bottom-dwelling prey that large trout actively hunt. The olive coloration is one of the most universally effective streamer colors across a wide range of water types and conditions.
