Wet Flies

A wet fly moving through a current seam offers trout a different look from a surface dry or a deeply fished nymph. Our Wet Flies collection helps you build a selection for fishing beneath the surface, whether you’re searching a riffle, covering a broad run, or exploring softer water during a hatch.

Cast across or slightly downstream and let your fly swing through likely holding water, adjusting your casting angle and mends to control its speed and depth. For a quieter presentation, try a drag-free drift before allowing the fly to lift at the end. Keep your movements controlled, and give the fly time to fish through the softer edges of the current rather than rushing into the next cast.

Build a wet-fly selection for exploring new water, varying your presentation, and connecting with trout feeding below the surface.
